CALL FOR PAPERS
The Sixth Annual Forestry and Environment Symposium organized by the Department
of Forestry and Environmental Science of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura
will be held on 15 and 16 December 2000. This technical symposium
will serve as a forum for the presentation of your research findings,
review papers and concept papers, and to exchange knowledge. We invite
you to present a paper. It can be presented in any field relevant to Environment,
Forestry or Natural Resources: Biology, Ecology, Management, Sociology,
Economics, Utilization, Engineering, Management, Silviculture, Agroforestry,
Biodiversity, Wildlife management, Ecotourism, Watershed Management, Land
use planning, Mapping, Bio Energy, Ethno-biology, EIA, Pollution, Waste
Management or Environmental Ethics.. If your subject is not listed here,
you are invited to send an abstract for consideration.
Please send the abstract of your paper, before 4 November 2000. The abstract
should not exceed 250 words. The title and name(s) and address(es) of
the author(s) should also be included with the abstracts. Two copies of
each abstract, typed on A4 paper must be submitted. All correspondence
will be addressed to the principal author. These abstracts will be refereed
and those selected will be published in the form of a booklet. Authors
of papers will be requested to present them in full at the symposium;
they will be included in the published proceedings.
